tom pulls out his cross bow knowing that the beast is too damaged too avoid the atack a second time and begins to fire at its head. (damage 18 )

The Chimera died as it was also struck by a random bolt of lightning as it was dying. Upon further investigation a small box was found in its mouth. (( we continue tomorrow ))

Lore looked at them all. she was busy chasing something that had caught her attention before the battle had started. she blushed and sighed. "Hold on to it, I'd like to take a look at anything we find." he said. He was looking around and spotted a book. He went over and picked it up, and blew the dsust off the cover. The title read Dark Spells for Advanced Begginners. "Well what the fuck does that mean?"

"Kay, see anything that looks magic give it to me." He grabbed a couple bags of gems. He found 3 more bags of gold. And yet another thing that would be useful to him. An iron quarterstaff. More gold, a reinforced leather cloak, and more gems. And a sword.

As Lorelei opened the box, a checkered tie-on mask was found. It looked like a special but flimsy looking mask. It radiated a magical aura that a magic user could feel.

We should all figure out who should get it, not just imediatly assume it's yours!" she growled out violently. she stalked over to fog and climbed up to his shoulder. "please...just one drop of poision? it'll only make him sick for a few days..."

Phoenyx came to know through telepathic means that this was the Mask of Divination, and the effects of this mask does not have much in the way of consciousness, its only real traits are curiosity. It will occasionally, if left unused for a time, cast divination spells on its own. It will alert the user to what it finds.
